Have you ever noticed when you set up something new, whether it be a phone, computer, or even a new wii game console that they want you to personalize them as much as possible; even accounts for different applications like twitter or when you set up one for a blog. When I started WH I had to create an "avatar". Think about this a moment... If you had to make a representation of yourself in a small 100 x 100 mp area - what would it be?
